Hi, I posted to this subreddit in the past and was happy with all the advice. Maybe you guys can help out again?
I am a college student assisting a local dance studio. We want to start a new dance class where one experience teacher spearheads the course – including creating the curriculum, and helping out with marketing and events. How who we decide how much to pay the employees. I think there should be a base salary (currently base salary for experience teachers is 30-40$ per hour), and on top of the base salary the teacher should get a percentage of the revenue of that course (so a commission pretty much). How would you decide that percentage amount with an employee? This sort of thing isn't in my textbook, but maybe someone out there has had experience with something similar.
