People keep returning items to my store that they didn’t buy from me…

I'm an online-only clothing retailer that sells the same brands as many other online stores. Recently I've run into a big problem with people shipping items to me for returns that they never purchased from me in the first place.

I try to make the returns process as simple as possible by not requiring an RMA, but I might have to rethink that. In some of these cases I'm paying for return shipping and then I'm going to be paying to ship the item right back to the customer.

Has anyone else ever encountered this problem? If so, how did you handle it?
