I am at the very beginning of starting my business. I know it will be some time before I can grow it out, but my feeling is that when businesses grow, it is often faster than can be anticipated. So I want to make a good decision before I have to fix mistakes later on.
I registered as a sole proprietor to start- free and easy. However, I'd like to have the protections of an LLC at some point. And further down the line, I may want to pursue investor funding, but I read that they usually like to see a DE Corp.
Should I fix my business type now? How difficult will it be to change the type of registration at a later date?
