I've come across a bloke who is around 65 looking to retire and sell off his newsagencys.
I'm a business management student at university and was wondering if this would be a good entry into the market?
I'm interested in entrepreneurship through acquisition and plan on acquiring a few businesses in the future if not now and starting a group e.g. "John Doe Companies" and setting in place managers + employees for each businesses and claim whatever profit is leftover. My management knowledge could really be put to use in a situation like this.
Should I start off with something smaller? What are you thoughts and bits of advice?
The owner is looking to self finance 80% and the agencys each have a cashflow of $300k and revenues of $1-1.3m.
