What should I do with my invoices?

I have hundreds of invoices from numerous distributors going back 3 yearssitting in a filing cabinet. I have only occasionally needed them to price the products, but after that I have no use for them. Should I throw out these invoices, throw out everything that isn't from this year, or keep them all? Another option could be scanning them all in to a hard drive. Which would be the best route?
